WWBL RULES
OBJECTIVE:
The World Wide Baseball League was created as a baseball simulation league with
a 20 year pre-simmed history (1984-2003). Our first season of human GMs was
2004. We simmed the first 20 years to give all 24 teams a history and to do away
with those 33 year old rookies that the game creates when you start a league
from scratch.
SIM SCHEDULE:
The WWBL uses Out Of The Park Baseball version 9, with the latest patch, to
simulate games. The lineup export deadline will be every Monday/Wednesday/Friday
at 9 pm eastern. Sims will be completed and the website updated by the following
morning. Sims will be 7 days at a time, Monday through Sunday.
LEAGUE STRUCTURE:
The season will consist of 162 games. The schedule has been generated by 3rd
party software to even out the number of games played against opponents in the
schedule.

under the action tab. No extensions longer than 6 years are allowed.
TRADES:
All trades need to be posted in the league forum. Confirmation is required by
both owners in order for the trade to go through. One GM posts the trade and the
other GM replies to that thread with confirmation. Please list players by full
name and position to avoid confusion, and state the location of the player
within the system (e.g. on the DL) to aid the commissioner in executing the
trade.
OFF SEASON FREE AGENCY:
Off-season free agency will be processed using the features within OOTP.
Deadlines will be set for exports to be sent in and the commish will simulate
the results feature have been posted on the message board.
FREE AGENCY DURING THE SEASON:
All Free Agent claims should be made in game using offer contract option
AMATEUR DRAFT:
The WWBL uses a 25 round amateur draft scheduled during the off-season. The
draft is a straight draft and will go in the order the OOTP game chooses (which
is according to won/loss record). Owners may trade draft picks, but only for the
next two drafts. The first 3 rounds are typically a live draft via the forum or
through IM, subsequent rounds are typically done using the in game list feature,
but some may be done in IM if the draft proceeds quickly enough.
TEAM RELOCATION:
The WWBL teams are set in certain locations for different reasons. The teams are
grouped by location in the country. Teams can be relocated or the team name
changed (with league approval) after an owner has been in the league for two
complete seasons. No team will be allowed to move to a city that is currently in
the MLB. If a team moves they will be expected to stay in the current region of
the country they are in now ( ex. a team from the West that would like to move
would be expected to relocate to a city that would be considered in the West to
keep the divisions in line). The new logo will be made by the league office
using the same format as the logos for the rest of the league. Owners can use
any logo they would like in the WWBL Forum.
FP CONTRACTS
FP Deals can be offered to any player on your roster that is in the last year of
their contract. Maximum of 2 FP's on any team
FP's may be traded but if they are traded their contract becomes a 1 year
contract.

as follows
1 year FP 8 million per season
2 year FP 10 million per season
