Osvaldo Proenza has made fans throughout WWBL Single A take notice over the past month with an exceptional 5-0 record. No pitcher in the Stapleton threw better in June, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today.
In 6 starts Proenza compiled a 1.79 ERA, putting up a 5-0 record, striking out 50 and tossing 50.1 innings.
This season Proenza has a 5-3 record with a 2.87 ERA in 13 starts.

| Friday, June 24th, 2016: O'Coyle Pitches Santa Cruz to Shutout Victory
Mike O'Coyle of Santa Cruz easily handled the Vermont Pancakes, stopping them on 4 hits and chucking a complete-game 3-0 shutout.
"He really did a job on us," said the Vermont manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."
O'Coyle said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big."
He finished the game with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing.
In 2016 O'Coyle has a 8-2 record with a 2.76 ERA in 12 starts.

All week long Jesús Cerbantes made the highlight reels and made headlines -- his name and face were everywhere. So it was no surprise to anyone when he was chosen the Blue League's Player of the Week for his standout performance.
