Breaking News Monday, July 4th, 2016: RL Star of the Week Named 19-year-old Pancho López made a few Arizona headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ramon officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .462 average. López collected 1 home run, 7 RBIs and scored 5 runs. López is batting .365 in 2016 with 10 home runs, 55 RBIs and 59 runs scored. He has 100 hits in 274 at-bats. Friday, July 1st, 2016: Ramon Announces June's Top Pitcher Over the past month Wilson Sabla has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Ramon. He proved all that and now he's been named June's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Arizona Snakes posted 5-0 mark and a 1.02 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 44.1 innings, permitted 34 hits and fanned 46 batters. This season in 15 starts Wilson Sabla has a record of 7-3 with 88 strikeouts in 102.1 innings and a 3.08 ERA. Friday, July 1st, 2016: López Takes RL's Best Bat Award Even though he is a newcomer to WWBL Single A, Pancho López put up some good numbers in June and brought home the RL Batter of the Month trophy. He was one of Arizona's offensive leaders with a .389 average in 25 games. He also racked up 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 24 runs scored. This season López has delivered 96 hits in 260 at-bats for a .369 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .432 clip and his totals also include 53 RBIs and 58 runs scored.
