| Breaking News | | Sunday, July 3rd, 2016: Great Stroke: Herod Gets 6 Hits 6 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. He tore up the Cordell Coyotes to the tune of 6 hits in 7 at-bats in the Bellevue 20-4 win today at Blitz Ballpark.
"Herod was a tough out today," the Cordell manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
J. Herod hit a solo-shot off B. Banderas in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Pancho López of the Snakes came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Cordell.
In the postgame press conference the Cordell skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
