Breaking News Sunday, July 10th, 2016: Jackson Whitewashes Boise, Requena Winner Spiro Requena of the Jackson Generals was on fire against Boise. He shut them down 3-0 on 5 hits and no runs with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Requena said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that." In 2016 Requena has compiled a 12-2 record with a 2.62 ERA in 16 starts. Monday, June 27th, 2016: Yeatman Breezes to Shutout Victory Magic was in the air and on the mound at Clinton Grounds today as John Yeatman held Jackson spellbound in his 5-0 shutout victory. The Clinton pitcher went the route, ran up 3 strikeouts, walked 0 and held the Generals to 3 hits to garner the win.
