According to Samuel Almeida of the Frankfort Fortifications, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 2-0 victory over Rapid City.
He blanked them on a 4-hitter, allowed 2 walks and had 3 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Almeida said.
His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again."
In 13 starts this season Almeida has fashioned a 3-7 record and a 4.23 ERA.

| Friday, July 1st, 2016: Holt Wins ML Batter of the Month
Keeran Holt has a lot going for him. The Frankfort first baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Mesek has just picked him as its top hitter for June.
In 26 games last month, this outstanding rookie batted .381 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
Currently Holt has 11 home runs and a .345 batting average.

So far in his young career, Keeran Holt has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Mesek in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 25-year-old Frankfort Fortifications first baseman hit at a torrid .476 clip as he collected 10 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
Thus far this year Holt is hitting .346 with 10 home runs, 36 RBIs and 38 runs scored.
