Breaking News Friday, July 1st, 2016: June's #1 Hurler Announced - Kato Winner In June, Hiroya Kato tore through the Mesek like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 21 years old. The young Grabd Canyon starter posted a 4-1 mark and an ERA of 1.51 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 53.2 innings he collected 54 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .185 average. This season Kato has fanned 98 in 103.1 innings and collected a 6-5 record with a 3.83 ERA. Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016: Stevens Twirls Shutout Dante Stevens of the Grabd Canyon Rangers was masterful today, pitching a 1-hit 4-0 shutout against the Frost Bandits and giving his bullpen a rest by going the distance. According to his manager, "He had command of every ball and every pitch... great location, too." Stevens had 10 strikeouts and issued no walks in an impressive outing. In season stats Stevens shows a 7-3 record in 13 games, 97.2 innings, 73 strikeouts and a 2.21 ERA.
