| Breaking News | | Monday, July 11th, 2016: Callison Chosen #1 Player It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Mesek, but last week Richard Callison of the Hope Inhalers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Callison rocked opposing pitching for a .435 average (10-23), 2 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award.
So far in 2016 Callison is batting .290 with 9 home runs, 47 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 78 hits in 269 at-bats and a .318 OBP. | | Monday, June 27th, 2016: Pell Sizzles, Hope Fizzles Gary Pell was dynamite today and just blew Hope away in the 9-0 victory. The Harrisburg Assassins starter had everything working as he hurled a 3-hit shutout over the Inhalers, recording 8 strikeouts and no walks.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Hope skipper during his postgame press conference.
In 15 starts this season Pell has registered a 6-5 record and a 2.85 ERA. | | Friday, June 17th, 2016: Jackson Bewilders Inhalers "I had everything working for me out there. I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With stuff like that, it was easy for Q.C. Jackson of the Farm Boys to handcuff the Inhalers 1-0 and come away with a complete-game 1-hit shutout. He recorded 12 strikeouts and no walks in an impressive performance.
