Breaking News Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016: Buffalo's López Will Miss Season Watching Fernán López getting helped off the field today at Buffalo Fields, fans of the Buffalo Bison feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 8 months with a ruptured tricep tendon. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. López suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Generals. This season López has made no relief appearances and saved 0 games. His record is 2-1 with 23 strikeouts in 33.1 innings with a 3.24 ERA. Thursday, June 16th, 2016: Rangers Kato Blanks Bison It was a quiet day for the Buffalo Bison at Rangers Ballpark today. It was Hiroya Kato, the Grabd Canyon starting pitcher, who made all of the noise. He shut them out 2-0, allowing 1 hit while walking 3 and fanning 8.
