| Monday, June 20th, 2016: Great Week for Laughlin's Left Fielder
19-year-old Juan Garayar made a few Laughlin headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ferris officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 13 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .565 average. Garayar collected no home runs, 3 RBIs and scored 7 runs.
This season Garayar has banged out 52 hits in 165 at-bats for a .315 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .383 pace and his totals also include 30 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
