| Breaking News | | Tuesday, June 28th, 2016: Mason Batters Memphis Big Time
Bakersfield third baseman Alan Mason really lit up the Memphis River Rats with a 5-hit barrage today at Drillers Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Drillers to a 12-4 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
A. Mason singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off O. Fito in the 8th.
In this current campaign Mason is hitting at a .325 clip with 3 home runs and 36 RBIs.

 | Monday, June 13th, 2016: Constanza Goes 5-5
Victoriano Constanza had an answer for everything the Bakersfield Drillers threw him today in the Lafayette 9-4 triumph at Pale Hose Ballpark. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Lafayette right fielder went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Constanza said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
V. Constanza hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off J. Woodhouse in the 9th.
This season Constanza is batting at a .550 clip with 1 home run and 4 RBIs.

| Sunday, June 12th, 2016: Larrache Mystifies Lafayette
Everything clicked on the hill today for Rafael Larrache of the Bakersfield Drillers as he hurled his club to a 4-0 shutout win over the Lafayette Cajuns, limiting them to 3 hits while recording 3 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.
"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Cajuns manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
Larrache has made 11 starts so far this year and put up a 4-5 won-lost record with a 4.52 ERA. In 79.2 innings he has allowed 85 hits, walked 25 and struck out 35.
