| Breaking News |  | Friday, July 8th, 2016: Joe Unknown Injured, Out for Season
North Texas has lost starting pitcher Joe Unknown for at least 4-5 months. He was hurt in a game against the Sledders while throwing a pitch and sustained a torn bicep muscle. His doctors said Unknown will probably be out the rest of the year.

 | Saturday, June 4th, 2016: Russell Untouchable, Tosses No-Hitter
It was a game that all pitchers dream about: a no-hitter.
It happened today at Texans Stadium.
Clarence Russell of the San Antonio Texans was right on target against the North Texas Cowboys in his 1-0 victory. He really zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 7 strikeouts and 4 walks.
Russell said he just had it all today, "very good stuff and great location, a combination that's hard to beat."
So far this season Russell has a record of 5-0 with 36 strikeouts and 24 walks in 51 innings and a 1.76 ERA.

| Monday, May 23rd, 2016: Miller FL's Best of the Week
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Ferris, but last week Robert Miller of the North Texas Cowboys reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Miller rocked opposing pitching for a .385 average (10-26), 2 home runs and 5 RBIs to come away with the award.
So far this year Miller is hitting .293 with 5 home runs.
