Sunday, July 10th, 2016: Season Possibly Over for Bill Doyle
The news is bad in East Texas. The Ropers have lost the services of catcher Bill Doyle for the rest of the season due to back spasms. Doyle was injured in a recent game with the Shreveport Prisoners while colliding with a player at a base and is expected to miss 8 months.

This year Doyle has batted at a .270 pace with 84 hits, 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and scored 36 times.

Monday, June 13th, 2016: Medina of East Texas Player of the Week
23-year-old Carlos Medina sent shock waves through WWBL Founders League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Ward Player of the Week Award.

A newcomer to the league, Medina made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .533 average, 8 hits in 15 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBI.

Where the East Texas Ropers first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Medina certainly made his mark last week.

Thus far this season Medina is hitting .254 with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 50 hits in 197 at-bats and has played in 58 games.

Sunday, May 22nd, 2016: Palma Breezes to Shutout Victory
It was a masterful game today for Sancho Palma. The Foxes hurler pitched shutout ball against the East Texas Ropers en route to a 1-0 win at Field of the Foxes. In the game Palma rang up 11 strikeouts, walked 0 and allowed 1 hit.

So far in 10 starts this season, Palma has recorded 5 wins and sustained 1 loss. He has pitched 76.1 innings, yielded 50 hits, fanned 102 and has a 2.36 ERA.
