In an impressive outing, Ryan Deese whitewashed the Fairfax Foxes 2-0.
"I'm getting a lot more downward movement instead of side to side. That side-to-side stuff can get hit a long way," said Deese, who is throwing with more of an overhand motion.
"It's not rocket science. It was just a little adjustment, but that's all it took."
The Brooklyn hurler held Fairfax scoreless, allowed 2 hits, chalked up no strikeouts and yielded 2 walks.
To date this year, Deese shows a 3-7 record, 11 starts, 63.1 innings, 32 strikeouts and a 6.25 ERA.

It was a good day all around. Reno whipped Brooklyn 13-0 and Pedro Fandino displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Ballpark of Reno.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Pedro is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
The 19-year-old right fielder for the Keno collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats to get his name in the record book.
P. Fandino singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th.
Fandino is currently batting .311 with 4 home runs and 29 RBIs.
