It was high-5 day at Ballpark of San Marcos, at least for Ramón Muñóz of the San Marcos Crows. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Melbourne Hammerheads. Muñóz smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 20-1 win.
His manager said, "Ramón was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him."
In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine."
R. Muñóz singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In the 2016 campaign Muñóz has hit at a .386 clip with 18 RBIs, 2 home runs and 19 runs scored.

Ron Daggett made quick work of San Marcos, blanking the Crows 9-0 at Ballpark of Melbourne today. The Melbourne pitcher limited them to 5 hits to earn the victory. Daggett fanned 1 and walked 2.
In 10 starts this season Daggett has crafted a 3-6 record with a 4.16 ERA.

Melbourne's Squirt Mollari used his full arsenal today to shoot down New Orleans 2-0. All day long, he exhibited fine command of all his pitches, giving up 1 walk and striking out 7. Mollari allowed the New Orleans 4 hits in the victory.
