| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 11th, 2016: PL Player of the Week Named
There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Francis Ortega, the Tennessee shortstop, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Pacific Player of the Week honors.
Ortega piled up 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs while hitting .500.
In 84 games this season Ortega is batting .246 with 68 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 24 runs and driven in 34.

 | Saturday, July 2nd, 2016: Atoms Prindle Dominates Trappers
The Ithaca Atoms shut out the Tennessee Trappers behind the 3-hit pitching of Jonathan Prindle, winning by the score of 1-0 at Mill Street Athletic Colosseum.
This year in 19 starts, Prindle has recorded 13 wins and absorbed 3 losses. He has pitched 149.1 innings, allowed 134 hits, struck out 58 and has a 2.23 ERA.

 | Saturday, July 2nd, 2016: Injury Sidelines Kev O'Curry for Season
The doctors have spoken and Kev O'Curry of the Tennessee Trappers didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old left fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. O'Curry sustained his season-ending injury during the Ithaca Atoms game yesterday at Tower Three Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing the ball. Today the Tennessee medical staff reported O'Curry had a torn rotator cuff muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.
In the 2016 season O'Curry has hit .294 with 5 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 43 runs.
