Breaking News Thursday, July 7th, 2016: Forman's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games John Forman of the Devils tagged 2 hits in today's 3-0 loss to the Melbourne Hammerheads at Salt Lake Grounds and ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games. J. Forman doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Forman is hitting .279 this season with 10 home runs, 51 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 86 hits in 308 at-bats. Thursday, July 7th, 2016: Melbourne Blanks Devils, Arcides Wins José Arcides was downright nasty in pitching a 3-0 shutout against Salt Lake. His splitter was diving, his slider was breaking and the Devils were swinging and looking bad. In the solid 6-hit shutout the Hammerheads hurler chalked up 10 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "As the game went on, he got stronger," his manager said. "I thought he really turned it up a notch in the eighth and ninth and probably threw his best breaking balls in those two innings. They put a lot of balls in play early in the count because he was throwing strikes." Tuesday, June 28th, 2016: League Suspends Miele and Shrewsbury for Brawl "I don't think I did anything wrong. I think my actions were justified." Those were the words of Salt Lake's Travis Miele after a game between the Devils and Hurricanes, which featured a benches-clearing fight. The league did not agree, however, both Miele and the Hurricanes Jack Shrewsbury will be suspended 5 games because of their actions.
