| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 11th, 2016: Amaya Selected OL Player of the Week 24-year-old Tony Amaya made a few Lexington headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Offenbaker League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 9 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .409 average. Amaya collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 5 runs.
This season Amaya is batting .302 with 87 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 46 times and has 56 RBI. |  | Monday, July 4th, 2016: Barber Week's #1 Player It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Harvey Barber, the Lexington Lexicons 20-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Offenbaker League Player of the Week honors.
He ripped 15 hits in 29 at-bats, compiling a .517 average with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs.
Presently Barber is batting .399 and has collected 13 home runs, 53 RBIs, .436 OBP and scored 63 runs. |  | Friday, July 1st, 2016: Fang Gone for Season in Lexington The news is bad in Lexington. The Lexicons have lost the services of right fielder Tak-wai Fang for the rest of the season due to a torn rotator cuff muscle. Fang was injured in a recent game with the Kingman Kings while throwing the ball and is expected to miss 5 months.
