| Breaking News |  | Monday, June 27th, 2016: AL Star of the Week Named Katz Takemitsu has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 20-year-old first baseman of the Spokane Bulldogs had a pretty fair bat in the Atlantic over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.
Takemitsu batted .412 with 7 hits in 17 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 RBIs.
This year Takemitsu is batting .261 with 14 home runs. |  | Tuesday, June 14th, 2016: Gallegos Zeroes in on Spokane Before the game Luís Gallegos liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Blackjack pitcher whitewashed the Spokane Bulldogs 10-0.
Gallegos said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."
The Las Vegas starter held Spokane scoreless, giving up 2 hits while registering 10 strikeouts and issuing no walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Bulldogs manager said in his postgame interview.
"When that happens, you usually lose."
On the year, Gallegos has recorded no saves with a 11-3 record over 105.2 innings. He has mowed down 127 batters on strikes and walked 13 with an ERA of 2.73. |  | Friday, June 10th, 2016: Sluggers Whitewash Bulldogs, Zúñiga Winner Juan Zúñiga of the Louisville Sluggers was quite impressive as he blanked the Spokane Bulldogs 4-0 at Guzman Memorial Stadium.
