Team Korea Red pitcher Boden Conder blanked the Team Australia Aussie Baseball Club 1-0, tossing a 4-hitter while issuing 1 walk and collecting 14 strikeouts.
After his sharp shutout performance, he said that he gives a lot of the credit to his batterymate. "Me and him are just locked in out there. He's so great at having a feel for hitters. I couldn't do what I'm doing without him."
This season Conder has a 3-3 mark in 7 starts with a 2.75 ERA. He has given up 43 hits in 55.2 innings, struck out 69 and issued 9 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .210 batting average against him.

Speaking after the game, the Team Korea Red manager said, "Tomomi Watanabe had everything going for him. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all... masterful."
Watanabe held the Team Japan Red Red Team from Japan to 5 hits and fashioned a fine 1-0 shutout. He had 1 walk and 2 strikeouts in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Team Japan Red skipper told reporters.
