| Breaking News |  | Saturday, July 16th, 2016: Corchado Signs for 2 years
Las Vegas fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Sal Corchado won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 2-year extension at a pay rate of $6,110,000 per annum.
Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Las Vegas officials had to keep Corchado from jumping ship.
This season Sal Corchado has made 7 relief appearances, saving 3. His record is 1-1 with 8 strikeouts in 8.1 innings and a 4.32 ERA.

 | Monday, July 4th, 2016: Red-Hot Ferris AL Player of the Week
Flex Ferris is respected by most Las Vegas Blackjack fans for his no-frills style of play. The 26-year-old catcher went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Atlantic Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .586 average (17-29) with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
In 2016 Ferris is batting .316 with 16 home runs and 48 RBIs.

 | Sunday, July 3rd, 2016: Feng Sidelined for One Week
The Las Vegas Blackjack will have to make do without Ling-kung Feng for one week. He suffered a damaged meniscus while being hit by a pitch in the game today against the Daytona Racers. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the right fielder. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Feng will miss one week.
This season in 77 games, Feng has hit at a .267 clip with 78 hits, 6 home runs, 34 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
