Friday, January 16th, 2015: Cartwright Gets 5 Hits
Neno Cartwright really did a number on the Pelicans in the Fort Lauderdale 13-2 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But Neno Cartwright did just that today for the Infantry and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.

"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 22-year-old center fielder said after his record-setting performance.

N. Cartwright grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.

Currently Cartwright is hitting .336 and has collected 15 home runs, 61 RBIs and scored 48 times, while playing in 64 games.
Thursday, January 15th, 2015: Hope Dims for O'Conry's Recovery
The expression on his face said it all when reliever Christian O'Conry was injured in a game against Key Largo. You could tell that this was no minor injury. O'Conry was examined quickly by the team doctor and immediately rushed to the local hospital. After several tests, the diagnosis was a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament, and in this case, it means his career is over.

The Fort Lauderdale Infantry issued the following statement:

"It is with great sadness to see Christian leave the game so soon. He was a great competitor and teammate and we are sure he will stick around in some capacity with our team."

In 2014 O'Conry has delivered 6 saves in 30 relief appearances. He has 68 strikeouts in 47.1 innings with a 0.95 ERA and a 5-0 mark.
