Sunday, May 31st, 2015: Percy Williams Injured, Out of Lineup
After the end of today's game between Phenix City and Little Rock, Percy Williams skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Copperheads had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The reliever will miss at least 2 weeks with a tender elbow.

This season Williams has picked up no saves and posted a 4-1 record with a 1.20 ERA. He has 25 relief appearances, tossed 30 innings and struck out 32.

Wednesday, May 27th, 2015: Copperheads Retain Perolli
A throng of media gathered as John Perolli announced that he had come to terms with the Copperheads and that he would be sticking around town another 3 years. Perolli is set to draw $49,290,000 in pay over that time.

So far this season Perolli is batting .347 with 6 home runs.

Wednesday, May 20th, 2015: Alvarez Breezes to Shutout Victory
Cleo Alvarez of the Alaska Ice Dogs really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 5-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Phenix City Copperheads with a 5-hit shutout in which he struck out 9 and gave up 3 walks.

Currently Alvarez has a 6-2 won-lost record in 9 starts with a 1.70 ERA. He also has 74 strikeouts in 69 innings.
