| Breaking News |  | Thursday, July 21st, 2016: Bulldogs Chill Salas's Hot Streak Hipolito Salas's 30-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Mounties 8-4 setback to the Bulldogs. Salas went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it.
"I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," Salas said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight."
Thus far this year Salas has hit .364 with 9 home runs and 65 RBIs. |  | Wednesday, July 20th, 2016: Salas Keeps Hit Streak Alive Hipolito Salas has been ripping hits every day for quite some time and no team seems to be able to stop him. The Quebec third baseman got 2 hits today against the Spokane Bulldogs and now has a 30-game hitting streak. The Mounties won the game 7-0. H. Salas flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off E. Ellis in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.
During the 2016 season Salas has hit .368 with 9 home runs and 65 RBIs. He has played in 85 games and scored 43 times. |  | Wednesday, July 20th, 2016: Bramblett Shackles Spokane It was a smooth and solid performance by John Bramblett of the Quebec Mounties against Spokane today. He crafted a fine 3-hitter in blanking them 7-0 and chalked up 10 strikeouts and 1 walk along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy," said the Quebec skipper. "When my pitcher pitches a shutout. I can just sit back, watch and enjoy."
Bramblett has made 21 starts, tossed 143.2 innings, struck out 142 batters and walked 25.
