Eddie Lazar did nothing to hurt his value as an upcoming free agent last week, making contact with the ball at every opportunity and reeling in the Pacific Player of the Week Award.
The first baseman hit .524 for the Cigars, recording 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
In his season totals, Lazar has 21 home runs, .284 BA, .337 OBP, 60 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has played in 100 games.

Carl Wilson told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Wilson of the Havana Cigars did against the Oklahoma City Twisters. He went to the plate 9 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Twisters, who suffered a 15-14 defeat.
"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."
C. Wilson grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, doubled in the 10th, struck out in the 12th, singled in the 14th and hit an RBI triple in the 15th.
So far in 2016 Wilson is hitting .224 with 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 50 hits and played in 81 games.
