The WWBL salary arbitration hearings will be held today.
For a few fleeting hours, general managers, players, and their mouthpieces will conduct a risky game of verbal tug-of-war.
Players, used to settling their scores on the field, could make millions, or find their paychecks slashed summarily. When the decisions are announced tomorrow, general managers will have a much better grasp of their budget in the upcoming free agent market.
One thing is for certain--when the results go public tomorrow, someone in World Wide Baseball League won't be happy.

| Sunday, October 26th, 2014: Winston Rips Mauna Loa for 5 Hits
Bennett Winston exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Kahului Ballpark. The Kahului right fielder had a field day in the 14-3 triumph over the Mauna Loa Nuts, finishing up with a 5-5 day and a spot in the league record book.
"My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus just to see the ball and try to get a good pitch."
Well, Winston must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat.
B. Winston singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th and doubled in the 7th.
Thus far in 2014 Winston is batting .378 with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
