Augusto Ramos of the San Bernardino Burn shut out the Modesto Demoralizers 1-0, stopped them on 3 hits and had 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
After the game his manager said, "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw. When Augusto stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
In 16 starts this season Ramos has rung up a 12-2 record and a 1.30 ERA.

In an outstanding mound performance Coleman Rickard fired a complete-game shutout against the Demoralizers. He tossed a 2-hitter for Stockton Springs to beat Modesto 3-0 at Stampede Ballpark.
His record in 2016 is 6-4 in 12 starts and Rickard has a 2.62 ERA.

 | Friday, June 24th, 2016: Hit Parade: Ortíz Pops 5 Hits
If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Raúl Ortíz showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Modesto Demoralizers and helped the Greensboro Killers beat them 17-4.
The manager for the Demoralizers told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames."
If Ortíz keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise.
R. Ortíz singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In 2016 Ortíz has put up a .356 batting average with 42 hits, 3 home runs and 14 RBIs.
