What a week it was for Raúl Rodríguez! The Gibsland left fielder took Blue League Player of the Week honors after wearing out the pitchers with a .833 batting average in his recent games.
Rodríguez registered 10 hits in 12 at-bats as he cracked 1 home run and drove in 5 runs.
Rodríguez is hitting .397 this year with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .453, 5 walks and scored 13 times.

All game long Gibsland's Raúl Rodríguez was rattling the walls at Wonders Stadium and banging out base hits against the Honokaa Waveriders. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Wonders had a 7-6 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 21-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
R. Rodríguez singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, walked in the 11th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 13th.
Thus far this year Rodríguez has hit .346 with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs.

| Thursday, June 30th, 2016: Wonders Cadis Tames Biloxi
Oliver Cadis of the Gibsland Wonders was one tough customer on the hill today. He blanked the Biloxi Sharks 4-0 on 3 hits, registering 4 strikeouts and no walks.
"When he's on, he's tough to hit," said the Biloxi manager after the game. "He's just a bulldog out there."
This season to date Cadis has a record of 2 wins and 2 losses with a 2.48 ERA, has appeared in 5 games and struck out 21 in 32.2 innings.
