Monday, March 2nd, 2020: The Baseball News Network is reporting that Omaha and Monterey have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 29-year-old second baseman Kelly Gore (FP) and 25-year-old starting pitcher Jude Sayer to the Monarchs with 19-year-old minor league shortstop Ken Cook, 20-year-old minor league reliever Ring Wilson and $2,000,000 in cash joining the Farm Boys. Omaha's general manager would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league.
Sayer has a lifetime ERA of 3.39 with a record of 64 wins and 41 losses.
