 | Friday, September 25th, 2015: Raftery Put on Shelf, Listed DTD It's a long season, and everyone picks up some cuts and bruises along the way. The latest star to be suffering this year is Stephen Raftery of the Alaska Ice Dogs, who suffered a strained achilles tendon while running the bases in yesterday's contest against Oregon. While he could play through the injury, it's unclear whether or not the Alaska organization will risk that or simply sit him out for the 1-2 weeks the injury is expected to last. In 2015 Raftery is batting .274 with 33 home runs. |
